What is Celia?


Equal access to literature and information for print disabled persons

Celia produces and distributes literature in accessible formats, such as talking books and braille books, together with public libraries and publishers. In addition to fiction and non-fiction, Celia also produces and distributes textbooks in accessible formats to all educational levels. Celia’s books are available online as well as on CDs and a variety of physical media.

Celia’s aim is to work towards equality for persons with print disabilities, in terms of access to literature and information. Celia is also a national center for accessible literature and publishing in Finland. Today, Celia serves approximately 30 000 users through public libraries, academic libraries and other institutions.
